"Forte Malatesta" is a fortified complex structures in defense of the city of Ascoli Piceno.
Built in 1349 near the banks of the river Castellano and the bridge of Cecco, the building is a necessary step for those who access town from the east. It has been rebuilt in stages, between '500 and '800 from the ruins of previous buildings erected over the Centuries. Its function was repeatedly changed during the years.
The City of Ascoli Piceno, after a long period of restructuring, has finally reclaimed this unique monument, a monument that has followed the history of the City for over seven Centuries and still preserves the signs and changes in the several layers of the structures.
Touchwindow ® added to the exhibition, interactive installations such as projections, interactive holographic screens, interactive stands and multi-touch devices. Visitors can now explore and learn using educational and recreational areas, true cognitive paths and exciting interactive and customized tools.
In the Interactive Museum of Forte Malatesta people can follow their own personal journey, a dynamic process that can follow different ways and different levels of details.
